Who I Am

Built from purpose,
driven by impact

My story begins in humble settings like many other young black South Africans. I was raised by a single mother who worked tirelessly to provide for my younger brother and I. From her, I learnt the power of showing up, and giving it your all despite your circumstances.

My upbringing propelled me to embark on a journey of purpose of changing lives within our South African communities. My real education began in the streets and community halls of a South African township. At 18, while still a first-year student, I founded the EBonoko Foundation, determined to give back to the communities that raised me long before the world took notice.

In 2013, I established EBonoko Holdings, building strategic partnerships with the Eskom Foundation, Standard Bank, Nedbank, and the IDC to fund programmes that ignite entrepreneurship and youth empowerment across South Africa.

In 2022 EBonoko Holdings was rebranded to Brandscapers Africa, to fit into our growth strategy that positions us for partnerships across Africa. We have since partnered with Nedbank, Anglo American, Coca-Cola, Old Mutual, Sasol, ABSA, the Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Today we bridge boardrooms and townships because real impact lives in both worlds.

My Philosophy

Three principles that guide everything I do

Start where you are,
use what you have

Waiting for perfect conditions is a luxury few can afford. I built every enterprise from the ground up with nothing more than clarity of purpose, a determined mind, and the willingness to begin.

Authenticity
and purpose

Every brand I build, every campaign I craft, every speech I give is anchored in authenticity. Purpose is not a marketing strategy. It is the only strategy that endures.

Dealing
Hope

Hope is not passive. It is the most powerful currency in a township. I deal Hope deliberately through mentorship, platforms, partnerships, and proving that African excellence has no ceiling.

Hard work, faith, and a relentless belief in African excellence. These are not aspirations. They are the method.
